Wolves selected the 2015 lot for the initial release of the Malted Barley Series. It was distilled from two-row pale malted barley and employed a California Ale yeast in the fermentation process. This lot was not peated.
This lot was chosen first because it is rich, different, and effortless to enjoy. It boasts a velvet mouthfeel with notes of chocolate, port, stone fruit, and oats. It is impactful immediately upon hitting the palate.
Wolves selected a single barrel release from Lot One, and bottled it at 125 proof. The barrel selected was American oak, medium toast, with Hungarian heads.
The other 11 barrels in Lot One were blended together, and bottled at 110 proof for an absolute symphony of single malt whiskey. 375 6-packs of this 11 barrel blend were yielded for the US market.
