SHORTCROSS IRISH WHISKEY

Shortcross Irish Whiskey is carefully crafted at Rademon Estate Distillery.

In a time honored tradition the Shortcross Irish Whiskey journey began in 2015 when we distilled our first Shortcross whiskey on Ireland’s smallest copper pot still and we’ve been distilling our very own Irish Whiskey ever since.

We’re obsessive about the Irish Whiskey we craft! We carefully consider every detail from mash bills, fermentation, distillation, and maturation. We strive to create as much flavor as possible in each step of our whiskey making process.

Our inaugural Shortcross Single Malt Irish Whiskey was double distilled in our iconic 450L Copper Pot Still, at the time the smallest whiskey still in use on the island of Ireland.

Crafted from 100% Irish distilling malt and aged in select casks, this provides the blueprint for our Shortcross Whiskey, creating rich full-bodied whiskies that are big on flavor yet refined in their taste.

Future releases will follow as the distillery continues to explore the influences of mash bills, fermentation, cask selection and time.

Shortcross Irish Poitín

Shortcross Irish Poitín starts from a unique mash bill using 100% Irish cereals. A trio of Malted Barley, Malted Wheat, and Malted Rye. Slowly distilled in our small copper stills to create an Irish Poítin that is rich in flavor and uncompromisingly crafted.

Tasting Notes:

Nose:

Fresh fruit salad with apple and pears, light vanilla followed by lightly roasted oats.

Palate:

Creamy rich texture revealing sweet and light green undertones and blackberry crumble.

Finish:

Long and lingering, rich sweetness.
