Located in Heraklion, Crete’s largest city, the Stamataki Brothers Distillery, is the island’s most well known distiller of the Cretan spirit known locally as Tsikoudia. This is a grape distillate made from a blend of the Cretan grape varietals, Soutani (50%), Liatiko (25%), and Grenache Rouge (25%).
