Every year, Pinhook releases a new bourbon and rye, each connected to a promising young
thoroughbred. The whiskey in each release is the best expression of our barrels at that moment in
time, and we blend and proof each to be as unique as the horse on the label.

The Vertical Series is a one-time opportunity to follow a group of barrels, as they age from four
to twelve years, and experience the arc of flavors throughout the nine-year journey. Beginning with the 2019 release, Pinhook will select 150 barrels each fall, blend and proof them to maximize the balance and complexity of the vintage.

The Rye Vertical Series will launch in the spring of 2020, with 50 barrels at four years old, and follow
the same path and process as the Bourbon Vertical. The Vertical Bourbon, with its high rye mash bill, is
dedicated to Bourbon War, a talented colt who ran in the 2019 Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
