We made this one just like they used to – in a small copper pot still in the back of an old slaughterhouse in Detroit’s Eastern Market. The finest cuts of organic Eaton County rye produced a spicy, buttery whiskey that could only come from a place where butchers were bootleggers and farmers are family. From grain to glass, this whiskey celebrates the legacy of the farmers that make our spirits possible.
Small Batch - 5-6 barrels per batch, aged in freshly charred white American oak barrels
Tasting Notes - bright, spicy rye expresses hints of coffee on the nose, tastes of caramel and malted barley with a rich buttery finish. The perfect pair for a whole harvest hog.
Spirit Type: American Rye Whiskey/Whisky
