Hand bottled, hand labeled and hand numbered, most gin is produced by placing spirit in a pot-still and distilling every botanical all at once. We have a different approach by distilling each botanical individually: juniper, orris root, cardamon, coriander, orange and pummelo. This allows us to focus on capturing the most expressive flavor for each botanical. The result is a softer, brighter and more approachable spirit. In the spring of 2009, the Wall Street Journal held a blind tasting of all available American Gins. Leopold’s was selected as their favorite.
