Ardnamurchan distillery produces two signature styles of sprit, one peated and one unpeated. We designed Ardnamurchan to produce a full-flavored malt true to its region (West Highland). The entire process has been designed to create an overall flavor profile that is expected from this area: gentle peat smoke, rich oily/honey and dark fruit palate, chili pepper, sea salt and a little more smoke in the finish.
Our Single Malt whisky comprises an equal proportion of peated and unpeated malt. The cask makeup is 65% ex bourbon barrels from Kentucky and 35% ex sherry casks, Oloroso and PX, from Jerez. A true reflection of our rugged Western Highland location, the whisky boasts notes of oyster shell, campfire embers, waxy peel, honeycomb, strawberries with black pepper and a lingering maritime finish. Bottled at 46.8% vol, unchill-filtered and naturally colored.
